Orally Fast-Disintegrating Resveratrol/Cyclodextrin Nanofibrous Films as a Potential Antioxidant Dietary Supplement

چکیده

Encapsulation of dietary supplements into electrospun cyclodextrin (CD) inclusion complex (IC) nanofibers can pave the way for development novel delivery systems with orally fast-disintegrating properties. Here, resveratrol/CD-IC nanofibrous films were fabricated using electrospinning technique. Resveratrol is a well-known bioactive agent its antioxidant potential, and it commonly used in formulation supplements. hydroxypropylated (HP-) ?CD ?CD both encapsulation resveratrol free-standing films. SEM imaging confirmed uniform fibrous morphology The amorphization by complexation verified various techniques including FTIR, 1H NMR, XRD, DSC, TGA, computational modeling. Besides results all these techniques, phase solubility studies also revealed more favorable formation HP?CD compared to HP?CD. Nanofibrous obtained having ?100% loading efficiency without loss during process. amorphous distribution unique properties ensured fast disintegration saliva simulation. enhanced an improved property. polymeric resveratrol/pullulan film was formed as control sample. CD-IC showed faster disintegration/dissolution, higher/faster release profile, significantly better potential resveratrol/pullulan-based samples.

Formulation and Evaluation of Orally Disintegrating Films of Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride

For the past one decade, there has been an enhanced demand for more patient-friendly and compliant dosage forms. As a result, the demand for developing new technologies has been increasing annually. Orally disintegrating films (ODF) have carved a niche amongst the oral drug delivery systems due to their high patient compliance[1-3]. United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) defined the...

Overview of Orally Disintegrating Film

Fast-dissolving drug-delivery systems were first developed in the late 1970s as an alternative to tablets, capsules, and syrups for the patients of pediatric and geriatric who faces difficulties in swallowing conventional oral solid dosage forms. On the basis of this need, a variety of orally disintegrating tablet (ODT) formats were commercialized. Most ODT products were formulated to disintegr...
